This piece was an attempt to capture the feeling of a moment. The atmosphere of summer 2023 in Montreal was so specific; smoke, fire and a new sense of public intimacy. The way the sun felt moved through the space needed to be captured and maybe in capturing this I might retain an essence of time. Timelapse and short animations have always been a way I process ideas, having them merge with the conceptual language and ideas feel exciting and productive.
